JumpInChat update — Private messaging and onwards to v1.0

A relatively light list of updates, however, it includes a new major feature. Private messaging is something that has been planned for some time, and is finally available. This feature addition is the last major addition in the v1.0 release of JumpInChat. Further updates will be tweaks and fixes for existing features as well as a bunch of cleaning up behind the scenes.

Private messages

A new feature added, the last major feature addition in the v1.0.0 release. The basic implementation of private messaging allows for direct messages to be sent between users in the room. User control over these messages is currently limited to outright enabling or disabling receipt of private messages. This will be expanded upon in later updates, with the ability to blacklist users, or whitelist them depending on your preference.

Auto-filling nickname

For those that use the same nick frequently, I’ve set the handle you last used to be auto-filled when you join a room. This will allow you to join quicker and reduce the need to continually type in your nick.

Select previously sent messages

Another improvement is the ability to fill the chat input with the up to 5 of your previously sent messages using the keyboard arrow keys.

As always, go to https://jumpin.chat and make a chat room, invite people and have fun and stuff.
The only way I can make this thing better is having you break it! Or even better getting even more people using it who then also break it!
